Hand bound leather sketchbook. Multiple artist grade paper-stocks available. This spineless, Coptic style binding will not try to close itself when in use as modern glue based bindings will tend to do.
The covers are fully finished vegetable tanned leather. Still flexible, but sturdy enough to protect the pages within, and rigid enough to use without additional support from a table or drawing board.

This page offers notebooks with paper approximately 9 x 6 inches with the covers being slightly larger at 9.5 x 6.25 inches.
The Coptic binding process is one of the earliest forms of book binding with our earliest examples dating back to the 11th century.
Most books fail when the glue does. There is no glue here to fail with heat or travel. The sewn binding is sturdy yet flexible and not sensitive to humidity or heat as modern books are.
Once the pages have been used up the covers can be sent back for refilling. The pages can be returned loose leaf or still bound but without the covers.
Engraving is available but not included in listed price.
