Hand shaped leather valet tray with woven basket tooling.

A tray on the dresser can collect the varied contents of our pockets at the end of the day and protect wooden surfaces from the dings and nicks of coins and pocket knives.

Placed in the entryway they provide a dependable home for your keys and wallet so that the next morning isn't spent wondering where they are.

The one on my desk collects odds and ends like paperclips, stray pens, and whatever else, helping clear out the clutter that leads to an overburdened working space.

Each of these is handmade one at a time from a single piece of heavy, full grain, vegetable tanned leather. They are cut, tooled, shaped, stained, the edges are treated and the surfaces are sealed, all by hand to ensure that no detail is missing.

All measurements describe the usable internal area of the tray.
All tray sizes have walls roughly 1" high.
Pointed Corners extend about 1" in every direction.

Payments

I accept all methods of payment mediated through Etsy.

This includes all major credit cards, debit/bank cards, PayPal, Etsy gift cards and Etsy credits, Apple Pay, and Android Pay.

Some additional payments methods are also available an a Country by Country basis for international customers.

Shipping from United States

SHIPPING TIMES -

Most items in my shop are available on a made to order basis. Each of these has its production time listed on its item page.

I do occasionally have items in stock and available for immediate purchase. Any of these items will ship in 1-3 days.

DELAYS-

For made to order items only,

I've been doing this for a while now but like all of us I make mistakes from time to time and there is unfortunately no way to erase in leather.

If a project is damaged midway though it will need to be restarted. If this should occur I will notify you about the updated shipping time.

SHIPPING FULFILLMENT -

All domestic (US) shipments are shipped by priority mail 1-3 day.

When your item is shipped you will receive and email with tracking information.

All items are shipped by default without signature confirmation and will be left at your doorstep. If you would like this or another additional service I will set that up for you. There will be an additional charge for these services.

INTERNATIONAL -
I am willing and able to ship to any country except Italy. Nothing against the Italians, they are just very protective of their leather trade and it is illegal import leather goods there.

Because shipping rates vary considerably from country to country my shipping prices for international orders are quite high. If you purchase an item directly you will receive a refund of the amount of shipping overages after I have calculated the shipping charge. If you contact me in advance of the purchase I can draw up an exact quote for you to avoid this.

Returns & Exchanges

I gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations

Just contact me within: 14 days of delivery

Ship items back to me within: 30 days of delivery

Request a cancellation within: 24 hours of purchase

But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Returns and exchange details

If you are unsatisfied with a product or find it does not meet your needs please contact me directly and we can work to resolve the issue.

Any stock item ordered without personalization can be returned with a few limited exceptions for certain items in certain colors. These are noted in their relevant item pages in their item descriptions.

Custom ordered items, items made to non standard dimensions, and stock items made with personalized details are not eligible for returns.

Please take care to package any items for return or exchange as similarly as possible to how it was shipped to you. I have had to deny refunds before because items were damaged in return shipping due to negligent packaging.

In a return or exchange all additional shipping fees will be paid by the buyer.

Additional

A NOTE ON COLOR -

True colors are impossible to perfectly convey in an online store, particularly with a hand dyed, natural material like leather.

There is variation when items are dyed, there is variation when the item is lit for photographing, there is variation when the photos are edited. After the photo is uploaded every combination of web browser and computer monitor will display the colors a little differently. Even changing your screen's brightness will alter the perceived colors of items significantly.

I try my best to convey accurate color information but there are simply too many factors out of my control to guarantee that the color of the item you receive will be exactly the color you saw on your computer when purchasing.

A NOTE ON RANGE MARKINGS -

Each hide of leather will come with some imperfections. If you ever see a perfectly smooth hide it either came from a cow raised in a small padded room or the hide was artificially resurfaced to mask its imperfections and I do not believe in either of those two practices.

As it lives its life each cow will collect scars, bug bites, brands and all manner of other things. Any imperfection that effects the structural integrity of the leather is cut out but some of these markings may be present on the odd piece. When this occurs effort is always made to place these as unobtrusively as possible and very large scarred or branded areas are never used.

Custom and personalized orders

Small adjustments to items such as altering the dimensions of a tray or adding personalization to stock items are alwasy possible. Just send me a message with what you have in mind and we can work out the details.

If you are looking to have a truely ground up custom item made for you I do accept these sorts of jobs but only on a specific set of terms.

I've never made anything right the first time. It just doesn't happen. Usually the first item is usable but is almost never up to my proper standards. The item doesnt just have to be made, it has to be designed, made, tested, redesigned, remade, and repeated as necessary.

This means that custom orders can take a very long time and that these custom items will be proportionally expensive.

Care instructions

I offer a service to help both instruct customers in the proper care unique to this kind of leather and to provide reminders when your leather should be due for a quick cleaning and oiling.

This takes the form of an email mailing list and a link to subscibe is available in the reciept of every item from my shop.

This list is never used for any marketing efforts, new product announcement, promotions, or any other such funny buiness. I've got a different list for that sort of thing
